Position summary

Receiving new resources, complete the process to make the resource available, and place in the correct permanent storage location.  May be engaged in selling books via e-bay.

Qualifications summary

High level of attention to detail.  Organized and orderly.

Strong work ethic where you do not need constant supervision.

Ability to understand instructions in English and to follow through on those instructions.

Full-time AU student.  If international, must have a visa that allows you to work in the USA.

Ability to faithfully and consistently work about 10 hours per week, and you have two to four-hour openings in your daily schedule to work.

Duties and responsibilities

Receive new resources, complete the process to make the resource available, and place in the correct permanent storage location. Reshelve used resources.  Listing books for sale on e-Bay, following through with online book sales.  Perform other tasks as needed.

None.

Qualifications

• High level of attention to detail and quality of work.


• Organized and orderly.


• Possession of a strong work ethic.


• Ability to understand instructions and training in English and follow through on instructions without constant supervision.


• Full-time ¶·Å£ÆåÅÆ University student, graduate or undergraduate.


• If international, you must have the necessary visa to work in the USA.


• Ability to faithfully and consistently work at least 10 hours a week on an agreed to regular work schedule.


• Openings in your class and activities schedule to allow working two to four-hour time blocks


• Prefer two or more years remaining at ¶·Å£ÆåÅÆ University [not required].


• A Seventh-day Adventist background is desirable but not required.

 

Technical competencies

Experience selling items in an online environment, particularly via e-Bay is helpful but not required.

Interpersonal interactions

Ability to get along with other student workers and supervisors.

Most work is individualized with supervisory oversight and direction.

Physical demands

Ability to pick up a 40-pound [18 kg] box and move it from one shelf to another.

Ability to perform retrievals by reaching a seven-foot-high [2.2 m] shelf and pulling a resource from it.

Ability to work at a computer for your whole shift.
