Position summary
This student chaplain assists in the missions and service ministries of the Center for Faith Engagement (CFE) by providing spiritual care, programming, and developing ministry leaders, teams, and partners.
The successful candidate will work with the Associate Chaplains, Service and Missions Director and the Vice-President for Faith Engagement as needed, to promote interfaith dialogue, culture development, and discipleship initiatives for the department across the university campus.

They will demonstrate a sincere commitment to promote a culture of service and missions for university students.
They must maintain personal integrity and consistent character. Also, the student chaplain will demonstrate a thoughtful, intentional, and persistent curiosity and commitment to grow in a personal relationship with the loving God presented in the Bible.
Duties and responsibilities

Creates service opportunities for the campus.

Build collaborations with clubs for community engagement and service opportunities and helps to promote and create service initiatives.

Commits to office hours providing hospitality and accessibility for students.

Execute Campus faith-culture projects in support of wider campus culture initiatives

Assist in Center for Faith Engagement initiatives in a mutually supportive manner

Responds, in coordination with their direct report, to campus emergencies and ministry needs related to students in crisis.

Adheres to ÃÀÌìÆåÅÆ University policies for conduct, daily processes and risk management.

Creates, plans, and organizes events in coordination with CFE, Missions Club, and other organizations.

Participates in required training and leadership development including annual leadership retreat, weekly leadership discussions, and other opportunities as assigned by their direct report.

Maintains a working understanding of the budget and works with their direct report to remain within budget and to request funds if needed.

Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of the Center’s executive team.

Qualifications
- Will have previous experience in community service projects and short term mission trips or student missionary.
- Must be available August 11, 2025 - August 15, 2025 for the required CFE Student Chaplain Retreat
- Must be a student in good academic standing with a minimum GPA of 2.5
- Must be a student that lives on or close to the main campus.
