Join the 美天棋牌 University Singer Actor Studio for a comedic evening featuring acts from Benjamin Britten's "Albert Herring" and Gioachino Rossini's "The Barber of Seville." This performance will not be live streamed!

"Albert Herring," composed by Benjamin Britten in 1956, is a coming-of-age story. Young Albert dreams of becoming his own man. The town leaders dream of restoring an emphasis on virtue by restarting The May Festival (aka Blossomtime). These two agendas collide in hilarious fashion! Performed in English.

The Barber of Seville (Il Barbiere di Siviglia) is perhaps the most iconic opera of Gioacchino Rossini, featuring music made more famous by Bugs Bunny in the Looney Toons cartoons. Figaro works to help the Count woo Rosina, while Dr. Bartolo and Don Basilio connive plans for an arranged marriage. This comic opera has been thrilling audiences since 1775! Performed in Italian with English titles.
