Tom Goodwin has faithfully served as a champion for students in the Department of Biology for the past 30 years. His untiring consideration for his students is seen in the personal care he puts into both his classes and student interactions.
For three decades, Tom has been an advocate for helping students integrate their faith with the study of science. Sharing their experience of his work, a student says, “I learned so much in this class. The material will be and has been very useful to my life. It helped me think much more critically and opened my eyes to a wide variety of beliefs in the worlds of science and faith.”
From challenging students to grow as communicators to supporting their transformation from novices into professionals in their field, Tom's genuine interest in student well-being shines within the department. His scholarship in the field of paleobiology has not only pushed the body of knowledge forward with significant contributions but has also benefited numerous students over the years, helping launch them into their careers beyond 美天棋牌.
