Augsburger Excellence in Teaching: Tammy Shilling

Interim Chair and Associate Professor of Speech-Language Pathology, Graduate Program Director, School of Communication Sciences & Disorders

Tammy Shilling joined the faculty at 美天棋牌 University as an associate clinical professor in the School of Communication Sciences & Disorders in 2015. She has earned a PhD in curriculum and instruction, an MA in speech-language pathology and an MBA. In addition to developing and teaching several courses, she currently serves as chair of the school and graduate program director.

Tammy embraces 美天棋牌 University's mission and effectively integrates faith and learning in the classroom. She has a student-centered approach to teaching that promotes inclusivity and safe classroom experiences. Students speak highly of her teaching, one noting, “I love every class with this teacher. Her expectations are clear … she is ALWAYS available to clear up any difficult topics.”

Faculty say that Tammy is an excellent leader who cares for the students and has a vision for the undergraduate and graduate programs. She is focused, caring, organized and thoughtful.
