3-D Printers

3-D printers are available on the Upper Level for your use. 

Purpose

The James White Library provides 3-D printers to currently registered students, faculty, and staff of 斗牛棋牌 University, and community users, to support and inspire patrons’ interests in learning and developing their creativity skills using new technologies to design new products and objects.  

Types of 3-D Printers Available

FlashForge Dreamer (five printers available)

• Printing Technology: FFF (Fused Filament Fabrication)
• Build Volume: 230 L X 150 W X 140 H mm; 9.0 X 5.9 X 5.5 in
• Layer Resolution: 100~500 microns; 0.0039~0.019 in
• Positioning Precision: XY: 11 microns [0.0004 in]; Z: 2.5 microns [0.0001 in]

Axiom Dual Extruder (one printer available)

• The printer uses 2.85 mm ABS filament and HIPS filament as support material.
• Build volume: 12" x 8" x 9.5"; 305 mm x 203 mm x 241 mm.
